My latest school project for Character Rigging. The objective was to design a character for the Monster Olympics! It could be old or new monsters, classic or made up. I had done an assignment a few terms ago where we had to redesign all the characters from Van Helsing as if they were to be in an animated show. Because of this, i decided i had done my share of classic monster redesigning and instead i made up a monster. Here he is, the rhythmic gymnastics afficianado himself...
I cant wait to see him animated in 3d!
PS. Its due on Monday but there's still time for changes so plz, any and all suggestions are welcome!

New Animation
Im working on a new piece of animation. My goals for this piece are, to convey a feeling of weight, to have limber movement in the character, and to have strong poses.
What i have so far is simply the blocking out of the animation. Only poses and general timing has been animated at this point. Yet to come are the things that will really make it shine, overlapping action and follow through.
I'd really appreciate any comments or critiques on how it looks so far!

School Assignment
Im working on a 3D Digital still life done in Maya. The assignment was to create indoor lighting and outdoor lighting. I decided to use johann Vermeer's work as a reference and as a way to nail down a time and a place for my scene. Here it is so far. Still a few tweaks id like to add in Photoshop. Questions or critiques are welcome!

"Sorry" Animation
Some of the latest animation i've been working on. It's been awhile since i did any 10 second animation in Maya, so i figured it spend a couple days on it and see what i came up with. Well here it is, for your viewing pleasure. Still needs some work but its looking like something now!
First Post
Welcome to my animation station! My intention is to continually update it with any and all material i may be working on at the time (we'll see how long that lasts).
My hope with this blog is that i will be able to show anyone who is interested in what an aspiring animator does and, more importantly, get some critiques from anyone who has something to say about my work.
Enjoy!
