Well here is the latest incarnation of Marf "The Man" Mifflehopper. Still some things i need to add (like eyelids and a throat, you know, useless stuff). For the most part though this is the model. Right now the texture is more of a placeholder than anything. I plan on going in and actually making his shirt look like spandex at some point.
Any and all comments/critiques are more than welcome!

loooking pretty good so far, let me see the wire frame. i see a little bit of something i like to comment on, but i ll let you know when i see the wire frame.
Looking good, so neat to see a drawing emerge into 3 dimensions.
Is his chin hair going to be the same color as his chest hair? What are the fins on his upper arms? Just that? Or part of his costume, anatomy, (fill in blank).
Bring him to life!
P.S. any Marf candy commercials yet?
Yay, he looks great! Can't wait to see him animated. For some reason I can really picture his little tuft of hair swaying about as he moves. It makes me laugh.
Honestly, I didn't notice the orange bit was his chest hair. At first glance, I thought it was part of the costume. That's an interesting predicament you have going on there.. I really like the extra dash of color his chest hair gives (the blue and red would be too boring), but I think you made the right decision on keeping the majority of the character blue. It gives him more of that "monstery" element and it's a non-human quality. On the other hand, it's weird that.. uhm.. how should I put this.. "the drapes don't match the curtains"? But, you know, with chest hair.
Thanks all!
Crystal - Now that i have the chest hair attached to the body, im plannng on having a nice fade into the chest hair. Hopefull that will alleviate some of the mismatched feel. The hard part about this character is that i want him to have the feeling that he has tufts of hair here and there, without it actually being hair, since i have no intention of fooling around with a fur simulator.
In the end, he's a monster. I could put a rubber ducky growing out of his face and get away with it...hmmm...not a bad idea....
Ewww! No ducky!!
I just realized that I said "the drapes don't match the curtains" when I should have said something about the "carpet." I fail at innuendo.
Maybe you can use the rubber-ducky thing as a plot hook later on in the series. "Marf wakes up in the morning to discover that he has sprouted a rubber-ducky on his face. Hilarity insues!" (by the way, never, ever, EVER use that last line when you're pitching a series).
'Kay, I'll stop cluttering the comment space.
